The official tour guides association in Cantabria is an
independent professional organization, non-lucrative, formed by free professional
associates whose job and economic activity is performed as tour guides in Cantabria.
lt is created according to the order 32/1997 of April 25th, that regulates the
profession, an accomplishment long time demanded.
lt is an open organization, democratic and independent, aiming at beeing a good
interlocutor between the professionals and the administration, in the interest
of the official Tour guides in Cantabria.
Its broad objectives are not only socio-economical but also legal, educational
and cultural
The inner spirit of the association has always been open to dialogue based on
a solid and firm style whenever was needed in stablishing new contact with similar
associations, other entities as well as the administration.
Its main objectives are:
a) The representation, management and defense of the
associates Interests in the presence of the Administration and authorities. b) The promotion and participation of its members in the management and
responsibilities of the Association . e) The establishment of its own services of common interest to all members. d) The administering and disposition of its own resources either from their
budget or patrimony, applying them to the aims and activities of the association. e) The negotiation, in its field, of union collective agreements according
to the legislation. f) The representation of its members in situations of collective working
conflicts that may arise within. g) To keep in touch with valid interlocutors and representatives of political,
social or union entities. h) The making of declarations in the media, as well as publishing articles
that may be of interest for its associates, as well as carrying out marketing
campaings. i) To carry out studies, inquiries and statistics among its associates
or a different field that might interest its members. j) To assign, get and administer the membership fees or donations established
in a General Assembly. k) Any other aim that may not have been mentioned before, always in the
interest and defence of all its members, and according to law.
